January Font Crush
We’ve all had ‘em. A crush on a font so severe that it starts to pop up everywhere - your client work, your business card, your bath water… So who’s on my January font crush list?
Shocker, huh? There she sits right up there in the upper left of this site - schmack on my brand. But really… let’s be honest - What’s not to love? As far as sans-serif’s go, she’s the most fantastically fun blend of modern AND peppy!
Hmm… on second thought, maybe she’s just an old habit - I do a lot of work for the ol Yahoo!’s and Gotham is their corporate font. Has my crush been simply a proximity issue? Too much of a good thang?
As I’m thinking - I’ve actually always had a thing for bold, modern, plump & gregarious fonts like Gotham. Prior to my Gotham crush I was nuzzling with Myriad. Then I had a one night stand with Franklin Gothic for which Myriad never forgave me. *sigh* Whatever… Myriad had a shot of an attitude anyway.
Font drama - I need to call up ol Baskerville and see if he’ll go grab a beer with me…

This is where I go on and on and on about ... whatever. My "design process" is my best guess on what I do all day long. My font crushes are documented for anyone who wants to call the police. Enjoy.

First of all, your website is beautiful, and I really appreciate what you’ve done with Freelance Tipster. It’s a great resource for us folk considering the freelance route.
Secondly, my current love is Gill Sans. Simple and elegant. Plus most computers have it, so it makes a great web font. Love it!

Funny. I had an affair with Franklin Gothic first. Then it was Myriad.
